New Delhi: BJP President Nitin Gadkari will be visiting Russia from September 6 to 10 on an invitation from the 'Water Freedom Revolution' (WFR) as part of his mission to provide clean drinking water to the people.

The WFR is an international awareness movement dedicated towards promotion of importance of clean drinking water. According to Prof Petrik, the Russian scientist who has invented the water purification technology and is associated with WFR, the NGO will work together with Mr Gadkari for providing clean drinking water to all citizens of India, a goal which is part the BJP President's vision for the country.

A Nobel laureate, Dr Petrik is a former NASA scientist. During his five-day stay in Russia, the BJP President will visit Moscow and St Petersburg and study various aspects of this movement whose aim is to improve the lives of the human race, quality of which is depleting day by day owing to various kinds of pollution.

The WFR has been working with the UN and various countries on the current situation of drinking water in the world.
